We continue to be busy despite the economic downturn with
on going and new projects.
Two Housing Projects now Completed:
Burns Drive Johnstone The development
at Burns Drive, Johnstone is now complete. Tenants have moved in
and the small playground is in use. Paying heed to the sloping
site with views over the golf course to the countryside beyond, this
project has come together to fulfill the original brief – to
provide for a particular client group six special needs flats which
have been future proofed to allow for changing needs – along
with 24 social houses to rent.
North Road Johnstone We are delighted
to announce the completion of the development at North Road, Johnstone.
The Amenity Houses are occupied as are the very sheltered flats and
the single storey flats with the courtyard garden designed specially
for people with dementia.
New Healthcare Projects
The contract for alterations and extension to the Endoscopy
Unit, Ayr Hospital is on site. This project which has a tight
timescale will be completed on time by the end of September this year.
We are also in the process of refurbishing the north elevation windows
of the listed Glasgow Dental School.
At Gartnavel General Hospital Glasgow and having successfully completed
a feasibility study, we have been asked to design two new operating
theatres and a Same Day Assessment Unit within the existing
lower ground floor. This million pound project will start on site early
in 2010.
The refurbishment of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary University Tower which
has grown to a £16 million project is at design stage.
Following the success of the MediCinema at Yorkhill we have been asked
to adapt the same theme for the existing Foyer of the MediCinema
at St Thomas’s Hospital, London with the possibility
of rolling out the theme across all MediCinemas in the UK. Jeremy and
Lena enjoyed a taste of the red carpet when they went to the premier
of Inglorious Bastards at the Odeon, Leicester Square: courtesy of

On a more personal note Jeremy and Lena became grandparents
earlier this year to a beautiful baby girl.
