Project: 30 new build homes built on a brown field site on the edge of Johnstone in Renfrewshire

24 of these are affordable social houses to rent. These 3 bedroom semi-detached houses have front and rear gardens and sit on the natural contours of the landscape taking advantage of the panoramic views to the west and north.

Adjoining these 24 houses is a cluster of 6 flats specifically designed for people with complex physical and mental health needs.  The client group for the cluster is a group of people who, due to their challenging behaviour, have previously been housed in a long stay hospital environment.  Their complex needs make it difficult for them to live in currently available mainstream or special needs housing.
The flats have enhanced acoustic performance and space standards, are fully wheelchair accessible and are designed to be a home within which a high level of care can be unobtrusively delivered.
